Erika Ramirez of Billboard was in attendance at a NYC listening session for Big Sean’s Hall of Fame album. The LP doesn’t hit stores until August 27th, but we now know some new information about some of the songs that will be on it.
“Ashley” is a song dedicated to Sean’s ex. A quote from Miguel’s verse on the song:
And I wouldn’t trade it for the world, world, world
And I’m just so fucking lucky you’re my girl, girl, girl
And I wouldn’t trade it for anything, no, no, not anything
And you, can’t nobody do it like you
Ellie Goulding makes an appearance on the title track, which evidently features a slow-building beat that contains influences of EDM.
“World Ablaze” features James Fauntleroy’s unique vocal talents over No I.D. production. This is said to be the most personal and deep song on the project.
“Mona Lisa” is about Sean’s desire to have a threesome. The track is produced by Da Internz.
“M.I.L.F.” features Nicki Minaj and Juicy J. This song is also produced by Da Internz.
There is an unnamed Detroit anthem which features Young Jeezy and DoughBoyz Cashout.
“First Chain” features Nas and Kid Cudi. A quote from Sean’s verse:
I be stuntin’
Stuntin’ like I got my first chain…
B.I.G. was the first one that had it
Then I saw Nas’ chain, man, that was ‘Illmatic
Then, I saw Kanye’s hanging from his gold necklace
Then ‘Ye gave me mine, I’ll show you my work ethic
His collaboration with Eminem is not expected to be featured on this album.
