Big Sean is back! After teaming up with Hit-Boy to deliver Detroit 2, the Detroit native has reunited with the star producer to create a new EP called What You Expect. The new project comes with six new tracks along with contributions from Lil’ Durk, Babyface Ray, 42 Dugg and Bryson Tiller.
The release of Detroit 2 and What You Expect is the result of a bond that the two have built over the course of a decade. In the EP’s trailer, Big Sean and Hit-Boy can be seen chopping it up outside in 2010. Over the last 10 years, the two have come up through the G.O.O.D Music camp and branched off on their own. Along the way, they have connected to produce tracks like “Lay It On Me” with Kelly Rowland, “Clique” with Kanye West and several other hits. With these last two projects, the two have cemented themselves as one the strongest producer-artist duos in all of music.
This Friday, Jay-Z, Reason, Justin Bieber, Aminé and several other artists have come out swinging with new music. With that said, What You Expect remains required listening for the weekend. Check out the full project below.
