Big Boi performed at the LIII Super Bowl half-time show this past February alongside Maroon 5 and Travis Scott. The OutKast rapper took the stage in his hometown Atlanta and performed his hit song, “The Way You Move.”
Big Boi has now teamed up with the NFL to give back to his hometown. According to a report by TMZ, the rapper is set to announce a “joint donation of $100k from himself and the NFL.” The donation is reportedly going to the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta.
Maroon 5 and Travis Scott have also made joint donations with the NFL; Maroon 5 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Scott to Van Jones’ Dream Corps.
Big Boi is also set to appear in the Bobby DeBarge biopic as Berry Gordy this June on TV One.
