Early Monday morning, President Joe Biden told Al Roker that he is planning to run for re-election in 2024.
During the annual White House Easter egg roll, Roker asked the President if he plans to attend a few more Easter Egg Rolls in the future, alluding to the 2024 election.

“I plan on at least three or four more Easter Egg rolls,” the President said.
“Maybe five. Maybe six, what the hell.”
“Are you saying that you would be taking part in our upcoming election in 2024? Help a brother out, make some news for me,” Roker said.
“I plan on running Al, but we’re not prepared to announce it yet,” he answered.

President Biden has previously mentioned his plans to run for re-election. Last year, President Biden told the Reverend Al Sharpton that he planned to seek a second term. If President Biden were to win a second term, he would be 82 on Inauguration Day, breaking his own record as the oldest sitting president.
Meanwhile, the 2024 GOP candidates list is growing. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to announce launch his campaign in May 2023. Not to be forgotten, former President Donald Trump started his campaign in November 2022.
