Beyonce’s ‘Run the World (Girls)’, the lead single from the singer’s fourth studio album ‘4’, was “kind of a joke song” reveals producer Diplo.
Speaking to the BBC’s Newsbeat, the producer revealed, “I still think a lot of people don’t even realise where that song came from. That song never really had a push. It was a song we did, kind of like a funny kind of a joke song.”
‘Run the World (Girls)’ stalled on the charts, peaking at No. 29 on the Hot 100 and has been certified Gold in the US.
