
In politics like in music, you have to win over your city if you want to make it big. Tonight, Senator Bernie Sanders won over his home state of Vermont. NPR and AP have projected Sanders as the winner of the state’s democratic primary race with 56% of precincts reporting.
Sanders currently has eight delegates in his home state with Joe Biden trailing in second with three at the month. Following Biden and Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bloomberg hold approximately 11% and 9% of the vote respectively. In last, Tulsi Gabbard currently has 0.8% of the vote.

This is Sanders first big win of the night. Previously, he earned wins in Iowa and Nevada. He will look to earn delegates in New Hampshire and a few other states before going to battle in the two biggest contests of the night, California and Texas.
