Benny The Butcher has come through on a Friday night to deliver the highly anticipated track, “Timeless.” The new record comes with production from Hit-Boy and guest verses from Big Sean and Lil’ Wayne. As we’d all expect, the lyrical content of the single is impeccable.
“On tour with the LOX and had a project address/Before this rap sh*t, all my direct assets/Came from high-risk hazards, you know, Pyrex glasses/A long way to the Prezi from the Timex Classic/I got lines from a year ago that y’all just catchin’,” Benny The Butcher raps.
“Like Pirelli tires on Chevy trucks, but still a Goodyear/They got every eye on each one of us, well n*gga, look here/I’ll come catch your a** on career day and end your career,” Lil’ Wayne answers.
“Lately, my life been a lot of losses and less laughter/To paint the picture, I can’t look the same in my before and afters/Honestly, I’m probably gon’ be booked ’til I’m on the next chapter/Signed a slave deal, now a n*gga up, ownin’ my masters,” Big Sean ends the record.
The production lives up to the standard set by the verses. Hit-Boy revealed that this beat was one of the many created during the legendary Watch The Throne sessions. With production like that and verses like this, Benny The Butcher couldn’t go wrong. Check out the first record from Burden of Proof.
