Surprise! On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Benny The Butcher announced the release of his upcoming project, Excelsior. Set to be released on Friday, May 2, The seven-track project will feature Styles P, Skylar Blatt, Boldy James, Premo and others.
“Some of us jumped off the porch early and understood the game instantly. Some of us took a lil’ time, but some needed their hand held in every aspect and was only good at riding coattails. Then [you’ve] got people like me…The Chosen Few,” he wrote on Instagram.
Excelsior is the third release from Benny The Butcher within the last 18 months. Released on January 26, 2024, Everybody Can’t Go served as the Buffalo native’s solo debut on Def Jam. The 12-track project featured collaborations with Lil’ Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Jadakiss, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine and Babyface Ray. Nine months later, he teamed up with 38 Spesh to release Stabbed & Shot 2, their second joint EP.
With three projects in under 18 months, Benny The Butcher is showing no signs of slowing down. Check out the teaser for Excelsior below before it drops on Friday, May 2.
