Ben McLemore was a lottery pick by the Sacramento Kings back in the 2013 NBA Draft and they had high hopes for the guard out of Kansas. Unfortunately over four years with the Kings, McLemore never worked out for the Kings partly due to a slow progression and also in part due to some wild management situations. He was often offered up in trades but teams never bit.
But teams were still high on McLemore and someone was definitely going to give him a shot. The Memphis Grizzlies have been looking for an athletic swingman to come off the bench, score and shoot some threes. McLemore might be just the man for the job.
Following comes from Adrian Wojnarowski and Chris B. Haynes of ESPN.

McLemore came in as a great athletic prospect with tremendous upside both shooting the ball and defensively. His playing time with the offense was relatively consistent, he was given time to start but for one reason or another he just didn’t work out. Maybe Memphis can restore McLemore’s shooting stroke from beyond the arc and let him create as a possible starter if Tony Allen does leave ‘Grind City’.
