Former NBA player Ben Gordon was arrested Saturday on a felony robbery charge in which he is accused of threatening an apartment manager with a knife, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday.
Officers responded to an apartment complex in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday morning where Gordon was renting two units. Gordon confronted the apartment manager about returning his security deposit and punched the manager in the face, according to LAPD public information officer Irma Mota. Gordon, according to Mota, who read from the police report, was then given part of his deposit back only to return minutes later with a knife.
After a witness intervened, Gordon left before being apprehended and arrested.
