Sunday Netflix released a trailer for Triple Frontier, their upcoming movie starring Ben Affleck. Triple Frontier follows Affleck as an ex-special operative who plots to rob a violent cartel with the help of Oscar Issac, Charlie Hunnam, and Pedro Pascal. For the first time, the ex-special operatives look to complete a mission for themselves, not their country.
In the trailer, Affleck prepares his men for the mission, detailing the danger they are facing. “Make no mistake about it. You guys need to own the fact that we do not have the flag on our shoulders. You cannot go back to your normal life after tonight.” Inevitably, the mission takes an unexpected turn and the men are pushed to the brink. Their skills and loyalty will be tested as they fight to survive when after everything breaks down.
Triple Frontier was directed by J.C. Chandor, he and Mark Boal wrote the script. The film is set to hit Netflix in March, it will also release in select theaters.
