We officially have our new Caped Crusader.
Warner Bros. has ended weeks of speculation by confirming that Ben Affleck has just been cast as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming ‘Superman vs Batman’ movie in a press release.
Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, said Affleck was perfect for the role.
“We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular Super Heroes,” said Silverman. “Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some.”
Affleck will duke it out with Henry Cavill on screen to answer the age old question: “Who would win in a fight? Batman or Superman?”
This wouldn’t be Affleck’s first venture into the superhero world. He previously played Daredevil back in 2003.
‘Superman vs Batman’, which will be the sequel to ‘Man of Steel’, is set to be released in 2015.
