If anyone was under the impression that The Weeknd was going to get complacent after topping the charts for a year straight with Blinding Lights, then they are going to be very disappointed. On his latest guest verse, the Toronto native sounds very hungry and determined to dominate the charts again.
“F*ck with my name can be fatal/None of my n*ggas is stable/They turned a crown to a halo/They rode through the town like it’s Halo/But don’t make a move ’til I say so/Drop a few hits then I lay low,” he sings.
The Weeknd’s opening verse sets the stage for Belly to come in and do what he does best, rap. Much like The Weeknd, Belly sounds as hungry as he ever has following a three-year layoff.
“All my albums classic/All these fake rappers they stay cappin’/’Bout a whole lot of sh*t that ain’t happen/Middle finger, plus thumb, ’cause I stay snappin,” he raps.
Closing out the track, Young Thug adds a few necessary touches. Check out the full track fro Belly’s upcoming album below.
