The time has come for former President Barack Obama to put together his summer playlist. As usual, he shared his playlist via Twitter over the weekend.
His list primarily comprised of classic acts like Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and Ella Fitzgerald. There are also a few more modern acts like Rihanna, Drake, Jazmine Sullivan, Jay-Z and J. Cole sprinkled in. Rounding out his go-to music playlist, the former President featured a few rising artists like Nezi and Bryce Vine.
Along with his summer playlist, Obama also revealed his popular summer reading list. Much like his music playlist, his summer reading list is diverse. The former President included Eric Nguyen’s Things We Lost To Water, which spotlights a Vietnamese family struggling to make ends meet. He also highlights the work of French author David Diop with the inclusion of At Night All Blood Is Back.
With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there’s a lot to celebrate this summer. Here’s a playlist of songs I’ve been listening to lately—it's a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between. pic.twitter.com/xwTPun9wsw

While we were still in the White House, I began sharing my summer favorites—and now, it’s become a little tradition that I look forward to sharing with you all. So here's this year's offering. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did. pic.twitter.com/29T7CcKiWZ
