The Milwaukee Bucks have added Craig Robinson (no not that one) to their front office. Robinson is First Lady Michelle Obama’s brother and President Barack Obama’s brother-in-law. He will be joining the team in a player-development role.
The following from the Milwaukee’s press release:
The Milwaukee Bucks today announced Craig Robinson as the organization’s new Vice President of Player and Organizational Development. Robinson brings a wealth of experience in business and basketball to the Bucks staff, where he will serve as a mentor and advisor to the Bucks roster – the youngest in the NBA.
Robinson will oversee the development and implementation of programs that support the professional and personal growth of players through education, mentorship, business and community efforts that align with the mission and goals of the Bucks organization.
Craig Robinson was a standout player for Princeton in the 1980s. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1983 draft by the Philadelphia 76ers but never played in the NBA. He has worked as an assistant coach at Northwestern as well as a head coach for Brown and Oregon State.
Perhaps Craig Robinson’s new role with Milwaukee will lead to Barack Obama owning a portion of the team when he leaves office.
