
Later this year, Ayo Edebiri will celebrate the tenth anniversary of her first credited television role, but tonight, she’ll celebrate the first Golden Globe Award win of her career. The Boston, Massachusetts native won the “Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy” category for her performance as Sydney Adamu in the hit series, The Bear.
Edebiri boarded The Bear series in 2022 alongside Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Through two seasons, the series has garnered the collective approval of critics and viewers.

Edebiri joins her fellow cast member, Jeremy Allen White, as the second actor to win a Golden Globe Award for their performance in the Hulu series. White won Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy” for his performance as Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto in season one.
The Bear also earned four other nominations at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, including Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.”
