The Atlanta Hawks plan on calling up forward Austin Daye from the Erie BayHawks to a 10-day contract. Hawks forward Mike Scott recently suffered a broken toe in a lost to the Denver Nuggets last Wednesday.
Daye has already been on four NBA teams including the Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies and most recently the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs waived Daye on Jan 17, only a week after dropping a season high 22 points against the Timberwolves.
Daye was averaging 16.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists through 10 games with the Erie BayHawks.
