Wow… Well it’s like Ron Burgundy said “That escalated quickly”.
That game was the Pacers season rolled up into 48 minutes. Great first half. Absolutely abysmal the second half and AGAIN, Roy Hibbert was non existent! 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 turnovers… He even got blocked by Kyle Korver!
But you know what? I’m not going to get all up on Indiana. I leave everybody on Twitter to do that. I’m going to spend this time applauding Atlanta for rolling into Bankers Life Fieldhouse, and taking it to the flailing Pacers.
Jeff Teague: 28 points, 5 assists and so many broken ankles that I nearly fell watching. Paul Millsap added 25 points and 8 boards.
The whole Atlanta team played exactly like they should, a team and I tell you, if the Hawks didn’t take their foot off the gas in the 4th. That 8 point gap could’ve easily been 18.
Game two is on Tuesday in Indiana. For the love of god, if Hibbert don’t show up… I won’t be lenient like I did tonight.
