In what seems to be almost forever ago when A$AP Rocky released his debut album, Long.Love.A$AP, fans of the Harlem rapper eagerly await the LP’s followup. Since his debut over 2 years ago, A$AP’s live has changed in many ways. Due to that, the change is reflective through the MC’s music. Today, A$AP premiere a new record, ‘Everyday’, which features the icon Rod Steward, Miguel, and Mark Ronson. If Mark Ronson’s name does not ring a bell, he is the man responsible behind the infectious, ‘Uptown Funk’, sung by Bruno Mars.
Everyday cleverly samples Rod Stewart’s ‘In A Broken Dream’ and successfully keeps the feel of the original sample but slightly transitions to a new track during A$AP second verse, before transitioning back to the original feel. In everything, it is evident that Mr. Rocky is severely focused on making great quality music.
As far as his upcoming album, At.Long.Last.A$AP, the album will be released on June 2nd, as the May 12th release date was just a rumor. Sit back and relax and take a listen to ‘Everyday’, above. Also, checkout out the ‘Wild For The Night’ rapper on the cover of Billboard Magazine.
