Arron Afflalo has long been the subject of trade talks this season. He’s considered a great asset that many teams, like the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers have conisdered in the past.
Now it seems like the Nuggets and Afflalo are beginning to bump some heads, possibly in particular with coach Brian Shaw. Afflalo made these comments after the Nuggets fell to the Detroit Pistons.
Shaw has recently called his team out for their lack of effort and hinted that they may be losing on purpose and it now seems like one of the bigger names on the team is firing back.
Brian Shaw can rap for his team all he wants, it’s still not translating into wins.
This Nuggets team seems to be one that might be big time sellers at the trade deadline. It started for them early when they shipped out Timofey Mozgov to the Cleveland Cavaliers for 2 first round picks and now there might be some more moves to be made out of Denver.
The problem is, what can they get for a guy like Afflalo? They’ve already said they want a first round pick for him but the other players that have been in talks include J.J. Hickson, some rumors about Wilson Chandler as well as the possibility of moving Kenneth Faried or Ty Lawson as well.
It will be interesting to see what Denver does at the deadline. Are they staying put or selling while stock is high?
