Arnold Schawrzenegger has just shared that he will be starring in Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten. The project is one of Lee’s final pieces of work prior to his death in 2018.
The Terminator star will play the role of Captain Courage, a former superhero who utilized all of his super powers to defeat his former nemesis, Dr. Superior. After the epic battle, Captain Courage becomes a gym teacher who secretly trains the next generation of superheroes at a local school.
After the announcement was made, Schwarznegger shared his excitement. The former governor stated, “It is an honor and privilege to work with Genius Brands and POW! Entertainment on this new series and help carry on Stan’s creative legacy by introducing this new group of superheros to preschool children around the world.” He added, “Not only does Stan Lee’s ‘Superhero Kindergarten’ feature comedy and action, but there are many valuable lessons to be learned along the way!”
Genius Brands, Lee’s POW! Entertainment and Schwarzenegger’s Oak Productions will produce the series. Meanwhile, Fabian Nicieza will write the series’ script. Andy Heyward of Genius Grand and Gil Champion POW! Entertainment will be the show’s executive producers. However, the powers that be have not yet released a premiere date for the project.
