For many years, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels have been a powerhouse school within college basketball. With a recent NCAA Championship win in 2017, this program shows many signs of maintaining their NCAAB empire.
The commitment of Nassir Little last year added another player to keep UNC’s name as a front-runner in years to come. However, like any lasting dynasty, UNC knew they needed to add even more, and that happened.

On August 16th, IMG Academy’s Armando Bacot took to Twitter to tell the world that he will be continuing his basketball career as a Tar Heel after he graduates high school.
The five-star recruit is ranked 5th on 247Sport’s list of top high school basketball players in the state of Florida. Even though there were 38 other schools willing to do anything they could to land Bacot, his decision was well anticipated.
He wanted to be a Tar Heel.
Bacot will have many things to offer when he gets to UNC. Standing at 6’10, he can play both the forward and center positions, giving coach Williams more variety when making new lineups. Bacot’s ability to run the floor will help the Tar Heel’s get out on the fastbreak leading to an easy two points. He is smart, athletic, and is ready to impact many games for North Carolina.
UNC has landed another top recruit, and they do not plan to stop doing so anytime soon.
