When asked about the UFC-style knee to the head of Klay Thompson, Rockets forward Trevor Ariza gave the answer you’d expect him to give.
“He’s a good shooter, so you don’t want to give up any open threes,” Ariza said. “I was just trying to run to contest it, and just so happened he kind of leaned forward and my knee hit him in the face.”
It was later reported that Thompson showed concussion-like symptoms after the game. The Warriors and Rockets are in the middle of a pretty solid series and if Thompson does miss some games coming up, it could prove beneficial to the Rockets.
