Ariana Grande is headed back into the limelight. Nearly three years removed from the release of “POV” as a single, the chart-topping star has slapped a Friday, January 12th release date on her latest solo track — “Yes, and?”
The release of her latest single leads fans to believe that a new project may be in the works. Grande released the deluxe edition of her sixth studio album, Positions, in 2021. The re-issuing of the number one album included four new tracks and remix of “34+35” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat. Since then, she has turned her attention toward remixes of “Save Your Tears” and “Die For You” with The Weeknd. More recently, she reflected on the origins of her solo music career and delivered a 10th-anniversary edition of her debut album Yours Truly.
Grande’s latest solo work arrives at an eventful moment in music. 21 Savage recently set the stage for his forthcoming album, American Dream. Elsewhere, Grande’s close collaborator, The Weeknd, has teased the release of his upcoming project via social media. Not to mention, legendary acts like Jennifer Lopez and Usher reportedly are prepping to release individual LPs during the first quarter of 2024.
