A new year offers the opportunity for global stars to deliver new bodies of work.
On Wednesday, December 27, Ariana Grande shared a collection of photos chronicling her year via Instagram. Within the digital photo dump, the chart-topping star unveiled a snapshot of her in what appears to be a recording studio with producer and songwriter Ilya Salmanzadeh. Additionally, she shared a photo that includes a handwritten note that reads, “See you next year.”
“This makes me happy,” makeup artist and educator Ash K Holm commented.
“It’s official. 2024 is my favorite year of all time,” Grande’s brother, Frankie, added.
Grande released her previous studio album, Positions, in 2020. The 14-track LP featured Ty Dolla $ign, The Weeknd and Doja Cat with contributions from Leon Thomas III, Victoria Monet, Scott Storch, London On Da Track and Murda Beatz. The project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and earned nominations at the American Music Awards and Grammy Awards.
Since the release of her sixth studio album, Grande has collaborated with Demi Lovato, Meg Thee Stallion, Kelly Clarkson and Kid Cudi among others. She also celebrated the tenth anniversary of the release of her debut album by reissuing the project in August.
