She’s ready for her close up…again!
Fresh off of the success of Wicked, two-time GRAMMY Award winner Ariana Grande is reportedly set to star in the newest installment of Universal’s comedy franchise, Meet the Parents. Grande will star alongside Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Blythe Danner and Teri Polo, who both appeared in 2000’s Meet The Parents. Also, John Hamburg, who wrote 2000’s Meet The Parents, will return to write the script.
The movie will reportedly follow “the son of Stiller and Polo’s characters, who gets engaged to a ball-busting woman who seems all wrong for him.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grande is expected to play the “ball-busting woman.” However, it’s unclear who will play the son of Stiller and Polo’s characters.
Meet The Parents adds to Grande’s busy schedule for the next year and change. Earlier this year, she released Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead. Later this year, she’ll star in Wicked: For Good and a live musical Wicked TV special. One year later, the newest installment of the Meet The Parents franchise will debut in theaters on November 25, 2026.
