With Marvel’s success this past year in their blockbuster movie releases, there is no surprise that DC is keeping relatively quiet in terms of its own superhero movie coming up this year. If you’re not sure what movie I’m talking about, that’s the point … they’ve kept it that quiet. Jason Momoa’s Aquaman first debuted in the lackluster superhero team-up film ‘Justice League’ and now later this year, he will be getting his own solo movie.
Mum’s the word when it comes to this movie. With a release date set for December 21st of this year, you would expect to see at least a trailer by now. But… nothing. Not even a snippet. Not even a 5-second video of Momoa saying ‘Oh Yeahhh’ with his iconic Trident. Now, just days before the biggest sci-fi convention of the year (SDCC) we get a poster for the movie.

First of all, I have a question. What is with Aquaman and wearing jeans in water? Even for a guy as strong as he is, wet jeans are just plain uncomfortable. Also, does this not look like the poster for Shark Tale? This poster better be just a taste of what we are going to get at DC & Warner Brothers panel at San Diego Comic Con this weekend. At least… I hope so.
