This picture displays the plastic backgrounds of various colors designed for the alleged “iPhone Lite,” Apple’s rumored low-cost iPhone. The plastic backs are said to keep costs down so that the cheaper iPhone Lite can be more marketable to those who can’t afford the current, premium models.
The device is expected to look similar to the iPhone 5.
According to Appleinsider.com, this 3D rendered image was created by a third party manufacturer based on blue prints it received of the rumored iPhone Light design. Though Apple hasn’t officially announced this product it is rumored that it will be released alongside the premium iPhone 5S model sometime this fall.
