Apple has taken steps toward strengthening its health and safety protocols.
Once a retail or corporate employee is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot, they will have four weeks to receive the vaccine and submit proof of vaccination. Those who decide not to submit proof of vaccination must provide negative COVID-19 rapid antigen tests before entering the workplace.
“Due to waning efficacy of the primary series of COVID-19 vaccines and the emergence of highly transmissible variants such as Omicron, a booster shot is now part of staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccination to protect against severe disease,” an internal memo obtained by The Verge states.
Apple’s newest testing protocols will go into place on January 24, 2022. On February 15, the company’s booster vaccination protocols go into effect.
