Since her breakout role in 2015’s The Witch Anya Taylor-Joy has been a hot commodity in Hollywood. So much so that it was recently reported by Variety that she will star in Edgar Wright’s next film; a thriller called Last Night in Soho. Wright wrote the script for the film with Penny Dreadful writer, Krysty Wilson-Cairns.
No details on the rest of the cast have been released yet. The film is being kept mostly under wraps so plot details are also pretty light. We know it’s going to take place in London’s Soho district because of the title but that’s about it. Wright has described the film as a psychological horror-thriller and stated that production is expected to begin sometime this summer.
Anya Taylor-Joy has a busy 2019 ahead of her though as she is set to appear later this year in Fox’s The New Mutants. She is also lending her talents to the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, a spinoff of the 1982 Jim Henson film, The Dark Crystal.
No release date has been announced, or even hinted at, for Last Night in Soho.
