Anthony Yarde is set to return to the ring for the second time this year. On September 23, Yarde is set to fight Ricky Summers at the OVO Arena Wembley in London. The light heavyweight contest will be featured on TNT Sports followed by a heavyweight contest between Zhilei Zhang and Joe Joyce.
Yarde enters the September bout with a record of 23-3 and 22 knockouts. He suffered his first loss at the hands of Sergey Kovalev in August 2019. He bounced back with five stoppage wins in six fights. His comeback earned him a second shot at a world title in January 2023 against Artur Beterbiev. Fighting in his hometown, he put forth a valiant effort before being stopped in the eighth round. Now, he’s looking to bounce back against Summers.
Summers will look to take a step toward a world title shot with a win against Yarde. At 36 years old, he’s put together a pro resumé of 19-3 with six knockouts. Most recently, he won back-to-back fights against Edgars Sniedze and Joel McIntyre. He’ll look to grab a third consecutive win when he enters the ring at OVO Arena Wembley on September 23.
