After missing sometime due to a shoulder injury, that scared the life out of New Orleans Pelicans fans, Anthony Davis returned for the Pelicans to take on the Detroit Pistons.
In his first game back, Davis had a huge night putting up 39 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, getting 8 blocks and swiping 3 steals.
The Pelicans All-Star faced off against 2 big bruisers from the Pistons in Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond that would for sure test Davis and his health. Davis made sure to prove everyone wrong and prove why he continues to be one of the top MVP candidates.
‘The Brow’ missed a big amount of time, even the All-Star game but the Pelicans managed to stay afloat in the tough Western Conference and remain fighting for the final playoff spot.
Davis even threw down a nice alley-oop jam that put any questions about the health of his shoulder to rest.
New Orleans won four of the five games Davis missed and entered Wednesday night’s games one game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
