Los Angeles Lakers star big man Anthony Davis will miss several weeks due to a right foot injury. He could miss around a month because of the injury. Davis exited the team’s 126-108 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday Night after his leg collided with the leg of Nikola Jokic. Despite only playing 17 minutes, Davis already had ten points and four rebounds. The injury is poorly timed after Davis was playing some of the best basketball he has been in the last couple of years. His return will largely depend on how he recovers from the injury.
Lakers are bracing for an indefinite absence for the Lakers star, sources say, after he sustained the right foot injury in Friday’s win over Denver. Davis has played arguably the most dominant ball of his career this season. https://t.co/WCTr2y7eNp

This season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Anthony Davis is averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.1 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game. He has paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 59.3 percent and a three-point percentage of 29.0 percent. Based on the reports it sounds like his recovery time is still somewhat unknown at this time.
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently 12th in the Western Conference Standings with an overall record of 13-16. Winning without Davis could prove to be more difficult for however long he is out. We here at Def Pen Sports wish Anthony Davis the best in his recovery and eventual return to the basketball court.
