Anthony Davis just can’t catch a break. The New Orleans Pelicans star is injured once again, this time spraining his ankle in an exhibition game against the Houston Rockets in Beijing.
Fortunately, this injury does not seem as severe as previous ones. While seen in a walking boot following the game, The Undefeated’s Marc Spears reports that Davis will only be out about 10-15 days. That would put him just on track to return by opening night:

Nevertheless, it’s another in a long line of injuries for the Pelicans’ star. Davis has been unable to stay healthy during his entire career, never playing more than 68 games in a season.
NBA.com’s John Schuhmann put into perspective just how ridiculous the injury history is:

Anthony Davis is unquestionably one of the best players in the NBA, when healthy. He can impact games on both ends of the floor (despite not being a perfect defender) and is one of the most unique athletes in the league. The problem is he can rarely stay healthy. Even an ankle sprain as mild as this one (reportedly) seems like a big deal for Davis.
