It seems that Netflix is gearing up for another star-studded comedy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pitch Perfect’ mainstay Anna Camp and longtime television actor Robbie Amell have joined the cast of ‘Desperados’, which already includes Nasim Pedrad and Jason Mitchell, best known for his portrayal of Eazy- E in 2015’s NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton.
Ellen Rappaport penned the feature film that has been in limbo since 2009 and Spoof film director Lauren Palmigiano, also known as Director LP has been tasked to direct her first big budget film after impressing with her episode of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
The plot of the Netflix produced film goes as follows, per THR
The plot centers on a woman (Pedrad) who falls for the perfect guy, but when he doesn’t return a call she sends him a ranting email. When she learns the man has been stuck in a Mexican hospital with numerous injuries, she grabs her friends for a crazy trip south of the border to delete the email from his computer.
The rom-com is set to shoot shortly and can be expected on Netflix in Fall of 2019.
