Angelina Jolie stated she will put acting on hold to focus more on directing and her humanitarian work.
Digital Spy is reporting that Jolie gave details about her career while speaking at a press conference for her upcoming film ‘Maleficent’ in the UK.
I’ve had a wonderful career and I’m very happy to have had all the opportunities I’ve had to tell stories and work for as long as I have,” said Jolie. ” I would like to focus more on writing and directing, and above all I would like to do more for the UN and my work with the PSVI (Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative).”
Jolie directed the upcoming drama ‘Unbroken’ later this year. She previously directed ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’ back in 2011.
‘Maleficent‘ will hit theaters on May 30.
