Television personality Andy Cohen has tested positive for COVID-19. Cohen broke the news on Friday via Instagram.
“After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus. As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better,” he wrote.
“I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves,” he continued.
Hours before he posted about his diagnosis, Cohen revealed that his show, Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, would return to air despite the pandemic. The plan was for Cohen to shot much of the show from his apartment in New York, New York. However, those plans have changed because of these latest developments.
It is unclear if Cohen will hope to return to air from his apartment once he fully recovers. More details will be reported as this story develops.
