The Minnesota Timberwolves have had a very balanced team with energetic young players like Zach LaVine, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. Meanwhile veterans like Kevin Garnett and Tayshaun Prince teach them the ways. Dropping knowledge whenever possible.
This knowledge will help the young players to grow up just that little bit quicker and hopefully take the team to heights the T’Wolves haven’t been before. Nobody knows this more than Andrew Wiggins, who is loving this genuine advantage.
SI: How has having the older guys on the team around helped your career so far?
AW: “It helps us a lot. Guys like [Kevin Garnett], Tayshaun Prince and when we had Andre Miller, they help us a lot. They’ve been through it all. They’re great players and know it all. Every question, whether it’s something to do on the court or off the court, they always tell us straight up. They keep it real.“
With all this potential talent, it is now up to the T’Wolves front office to give these young players the tools to propel them to the promise land. Yes I know they’ve already done enough by getting these amazing talents but the job never stops. Besides they can take an L for still having Nikola Pekovic on the payroll.
