Andrew Wiggins received a lot of hype before being drafted #1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The potential superstar, was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love, and he now says that he kind of likes it there.
According to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun:
"I love Minnesota. They treat me nice up there. I plan to be there a very, very, very long time.” Wiggins crushes Canada and Raptors fans.

FIRST OF ALL. AS A TORONTO RAPTORS FAN THIS HURTS. Being a kid that grew up in Toronto, and having played against Wiggins, I can say that in my opinion, he wants to play for Toronto at some point in his career. It’s every Toronto hoopers dream, playing for the Raptors. I feel like he is just trying to play it off, but when 2020 comes and he is an unrestricted free agent, the temptation to play in his prime for his home city, would be too much. Andrew Wiggins NOT coming to Toronto would be a big surprise for me.
Not only does the home-town feeling appeal to Wiggins, like it did for LeBron, and what might happen to Kevin Durant, it’s the inevitable, superstars will have wanted to play for their city at one point in time. The Raptors are poised to make a huge run for both Durant and Wiggins, and they have the financial capability to do so. They will be releasing huge chunks of salary throughout the next couple years and are poised to make a run for a couple free agents.
The core Toronto Raptors players who are probably going to be staying in Toronto for a while (DeRozan, Lowry, Valanciunas, Willimas) will probably stay together, but the other guys on the roster are free and open for trade discussions, and knowing the guru that Masai Ujiri is, the Raptors will definitely shake things up. As for Wiggins, I’ll be seeing him in 2020 as a Toronto Raptor.
