The Kevin Durant/Golden State Warriors train is gaining steam regardless if Kevin Durant refutes it or not. Because it’s the Warriors and because it’s Kevin Durant, we are all thirsting over the possibility of a super team that we have never seen before.
The fact that it can happen is all we need to constantly talk about it. It just goes to show that we really don’t need much to go ape about something. Everybody would play as the Warriors on NBA2K if this goes down!
Andrew Bogut was recently on SiriusXM talking to Frank Isola and Brian Scalibrine about the possibility of KD coming to the Bay Area and he personally wouldn’t be surprised.
“If you were a player would you want to join our team?” was Bogut’s response to SiriusXM NBA Radio’s Frank Isola and Brian Scalabrine regarding the report. “Who knows where it’s coming from — probably a mix of his agent, creating whatever it is from that aspect.”
“We’re not too worried about it,” Bogut explained. “Funnier things have happened in this league, so I definitely wouldn’t be shocked if something like that happened.” […] Bogut is confident the Warriors’ front office isn’t going to make any major moves. At least, not yet. “We like the team that we have,” Bogut said. “I doubt we’ll make any trades, but offseason is a different story. But like I said, who knows in this league.”
I’m in Bogut’s boat. I’m not losing sleep over this. No matter how many teams you add to the race to court KD I still think he’ll just sign a one year deal with OKC and be done with it for another year.
Don’t get too crazy, you’re probably dreaming too much about this, let’s all take a breath and look at the facts, he’s been with the Thunder for his entire career, that holds something.
