Despite reports that the Sacramento Kings were gearing up to sign Andrea Bargnani, it looks like he will instead play in Brooklyn next season.
From Tim Bontemps of the New York Post:
Andrea Bargnani has signed a one year deal for the veteran's minimum with the Nets with a player option for a 2nd year, per league sources.

Bargnani is taking less money to play in Brooklyn despite the fact that the Nets have less talent.
From ESPN’s Marc Stein:
ESPN sources say Bargnani, in fact, took less money from Nets because he preferred fit in Brooklyn. Kings pitched two-year deal

This is an interesting decision by Bargnani. I suppose I can understand why he likes the fit better. The Kings have DeMarcus Cousins and Willie Cauley-Stein in the front court. The Nets, on the other hand, have less established bigs on the roster. Bargnani could be the first big man off the bench behind Thad Young and Brook Lopez. Mirza Teletovic is the only other notable big man on the roster, but he doesn’t really bring any more to the table than Bargnani does; they’re both 3-point shooting big men.
However, in Sacramento, Bargs would be able to play with more talent — Rondo, Cousins, and Gay. Deron Williams has left Brooklyn for Dallas, and Joe Johnson isn’t getting any younger. Brook Lopez is the only truly exciting player on the Nets’ roster.
