Andrea Bargnani has been a surprise for the New York Knicks. After being a player who was put in every trade situation by the Toronto Raptors, and missing one entire year as a New York Knick, Andrea Bargnani might finally have a long-term home.
Over the last month, Andrea Bargnani has been averaging 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and shooting 49% from the field. Bargnani is a perfect fit for the triangle offense, which needs a stretch four that can pass at an effective rate.
According to Real GM:
Bargnani’s agent, Leon Rose, CONFIRMED on Tuesday that his client would welcome a second chance with the Knicks.
“Andrea is optimistic about what Phil is trying to accomplish and he certainly wants to be part of it,” Rose told the Daily News. “But he’s a FREE agent this summer so it’s too early to predict what may or may not happen.”
Knicks fans, before you panic, hear me out. If Andrea Bargnani were to learn when to take his shots and how to get involved in an offense where Carmelo Anthony exists, then this could work. I’m not saying Andrea Bargnani will become an All-Star, but he could be an asset to a Knicks team that could really use anything.
