The Golden State Warriors are one win away from their second championship in three years. If they do hold on to their 3-0 lead, the offseason will feature the team finding any and all ways to keep their core together.
Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Andre Iguodala are all free agents this summer. The former two are the biggest superstars on the team, going blow for blow in their domination of the Cavs’ defense.
Iguodala, however, has been one of the most crucial parts of this Warriors’ dynasty. His defense on LeBron James won him a Finals MVP in 2015 and he had the biggest defensive play of the Finals thus far in 2017 on a strip of LeBron James’ game-winning attempt.
Keeping Iguodala on the team will be difficult to manage with Durant’s contract situation as the Warriors do not own his Bird rights. But the forward hinted on Thursday that all three of the Warriors’ most prominent free agents will be re-signing come July:

Well, that’s promising for Warriors fans. It seems as though the organization will get help from its players in keeping this thing going. That said, Iguodala has been known to troll the media with quotes, even if previous reports indicate that he will re-sign with GSW.
With Klay Thompson and Draymond Green under contract, keeping Curry, Durant, and Iguodala ensures that the Warriors will be among the elite teams in the league for a long time. They will be the favorites to win the title for years if they keep their core and it seems like they will be able to.
