The Golden State Warriors suffered from a significant injury in their last game as forward Andre Iguodala left the game with an ankle injury. According to Yahoo’s Marc Spears, the reigning Finals MVP will be out at least two weeks with the injury.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr called Andre Iguodala's ankle injury is "significant" but added that it was not broken. Brandon Rush will fill in.

The Warriors will likely be able to get by without Iggy during the regular season with little to no real problems arising. However, his presence is crucial for the Warriors’ ride to a second straight championship.
Iguodala provides a bit of everything from his role off the bench as he has consistently provided elite perimeter defense and playmaking on offense. That possession of multiple skills makes the veteran very valuable for this team and was the reasoning for his being honored with the Finals MVP award last season.
For now, the Warriors will lean on the likes of Harrison Barnes and Brandon Rush to take Iguodala’s minutes and hopefully provide the same production. With the team as talented and stable as it is, Golden State can afford to show extra precaution and ensure that Iguodala is fully healthy come playoff time.
