The Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers squared off last night with many eyes on the matchup between Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond. By nights end, the stat skewed towards the side of Embiid over Drummond.
Following his big night Embiid, always good for some trash talk, went out of his way to call out Andre Drummond for ‘not playing defense’.
Following comes courtesy of Keith Pompey from Philly.com.
“Defensively, he doesn’t play any defense,” Embiid said of what he saw. “When we started the game, he was being aggressive and he was talking, too. … So what I was like [in my mind] ‘You want to do that? I’m going to kick your [butt] then. So that’s what I did.”
His domination was so obvious that one Pistons fan yelled “You [stink], Andre” after an Embiid basket.
“In my mind, I was like, ‘You want to switch up, because you are playing against me,’” he said of Drummond. ”‘You want to be all physical and talk [trash].’ So I was like, ‘you are going to get your [butt beat].’ I love that.”

Andre Drummond responded to Embiid and now awaits their rematch on December 2nd, according to Rod Beard of The Detroit News.
“Everybody knows me — I talk (trash) to everybody; it’s just what I do,” Drummond said after Tuesday’s practice. “I don’t say anything extra to anybody. I talk the same to everybody, whether you’re my friend or anybody else.
“I don’t say anything extra because it’s Joel Embiid; I don’t need to do that. I just speak the way I speak. If he felt some type of way, that’s on him.”
See you Dec 2nd?
