Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond is going to replace injured New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis at the 2018 NBA Skills Challenge. Porzingis, the reigning skills challenge champion, suffered a torn ACL earlier this week during the Knicks loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Drummond recently joined 2018 NBA All-Star weekend after he was an injury replacement for Washington Wizards guard John Wall.
The NBA announced the decision on Thursday afternoon.

Andre Drummond shooting threes will definitely an interesting sight. The skills competition involves ball handling, passing and shooting. He will compete with fellow big men Joel Embiid, Al Hoford and Lauri Markkanen. The guards will be Jamal Murray, Spence Dinwiddie, Buddy Hield and Lou Williams.
Drummond is posting per game averages of 15.1 points with career-highs of 15.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He also has not made a three all season, attempted six threes this season and has made five threes in his five-year career.
