Varejao was signed by the Warriors last year after being traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Portland Trailblazers. The Blazers would waive him that day.
Varejao came into Golden State and played right away as the backup to Andrew Bogut. Varejao got some burn in the playoffs and even got to do what he does best, flop and draw fouls.
The 12 year veteran center is the 14 player under contract with the Warriors. Varejao should get some playing time this year with the Warriors, not having a lot of depth up front. David West and Zaza Pachuila are two big men Golden State signed this off-season that will battle Varejao for playing time.
