CNN hosted a town hall Tuesday in Milwaukee with presidential candidate Donald Trump with Anderson Cooper as the interviewer. In typical fashion Trump remained defiant when answering the majority of his questions, and seemed to talk his way around inquiries about actual policies, something that he has received a lot of flack for. However, once the conversation came towards the issue involving Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi pictured with Trump’s wife Melania — a photo that some deemed as unflattering — that the real estate mogul retweeted in the name of pettiness, things got interesting and a bit juvenile.
“I thought it was a nice picture of Heidi,” Trump says. “I thought it was fine. She’s a pretty woman.”
“Come on,” Cooper replied. “You’re running for president of the United States.”
“I didn’t start it,” Trump declared.
“Sir, with all due respect, that’s the argument of 5-year-old,” Cooper retorted. “Every parent knows a kid who says, ‘He started it.’”
“No, no, no,” Trump said, bewilderingly. “That’s the problem. Exactly that thinking is the problem this country has. I did not start this.”
How is the personal vendetta an issue of the United States? Let’s mention that Drumpf started this entire thing be saying he will expose Cruz’s wife. One, what are the wives being dragged into this? Two, this only caters to thinking of some that the comb-over charlatan is misogynistic.
Lastly, Cooper pointed out that the ad that ruffled Drumpf’s feathers was, in fact, produced by an anti-Trump super PAC, Make America Awesome, kicked off the whole picture war by sending out a saucy one of Melania, and that Cruz had nothing to do with it.
