American Sniper is officially the highest-grossing movie of 2014.
The war drama, starring Bradley Cooper, has earned over $337.2 million in the U.S. since its release in December.
Its earnings put it above The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which earned $336.8 million.
Since its release, American Sniper has been the center of intense political debate, with Michael Moore and Seth Rogen among its critics.
The movie has won several awards, including an Academy Award for Best Sound Editing and a Critics’ Choice Award for Cooper as Best Actor in an Action Movie.
