Will Smith has loaned his voice and likeness to a new series at Netflix called Amend: The Fight For America. In the show’s first teaser, Smith appears as a host while discussing the ins and outs of race, class, economics and American history.
“When the United States of America was founded, the ideals of freedom and equality did not apply to all people. These are the stories of the brave Americans who fought to right the nation’s wrongs and enshrine the values we hold most dear into the Constitution — with liberty and justice for all,” Netflix says about the documentary series.
Smith will not be the only star to appear in the six-part documentary series. Along the way, the Hollywood star will be joined by Mahershala Ali, Yara Shahidi, Samuel L. Jackson and several others. Smith will also co-executive produce Amend: The Fight For America with Larry Wilmore. Check out the show’s first trailer below.
